Oculus Innovative Sciences
Netherlands B.V. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Oculus Innovative
Sciences, Inc.) was founded at the end of 2003. This European
entity directs the marketing, manufacturing and distribution
of Microcyn®-based products in Europe, Africa and Eastern
markets. The facility is located in Sittard (in the southeastern
part of the Netherlands); strategically located for access
to our markets. The Sittard region provides an excellent business
infrastructure and a regional government with a genuine appreciation
of life sciences technologies.
The European organization is focused on
generating market awareness of the wound management capabilities
of the disruptive Microcyn®-Technology. Dermacyn® Wound Care is a super-oxidized solution for treating acute
and chronic wounds (e.g. diabetic foot ulcers and burns).
The combination of excellent performance (broadly applicable
within a comprehensive wound treatment); unparalleled safety
for patient, medical practitioner and environment; and a
ready-to-use, extended-shelf-life formula makes Dermacyn® Wound
Care a clear revolution. The application has received approval
according to the European Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC).
This CE-certification was obtained in November 2004.
Oculus Innovative Sciences Netherlands
has adopted a market acquisition strategy which employs
a regionally segmented distributor network. Having launched
Dermacyn® Wound Care late 2004, we are currently expanding
this network in the European, African and Eastern territories.
